Bliss Crayon & Color Works, Inc.
New York, NY
1920s-1930s

History

I could find no history and barely a mention of this company other than a couple of physical boxes that have surfaced.  There were a couple of Trademark filings in 1931 and 1932 by them.  One of the filings was for “Young America” crayons but I have yet to see any of these surface in the collecting community.  Judging from the elaborate design on the front and back of their Bliss box I'd say this was from either the 1920s or 1930s.  This was an ever expanding time for the crayon industry and New York was a major hub of activity.  Recently a second box surfaced and it is a very close copy to the Crayola design of the late 1920s.
