Crayola Product Line

Crayola Color Slicks

In 1998 Crayola was still quite busy introducing new types of crayon products to the market.  One of those was the Crayola Color Slicks line.  There were only two boxes ever made for this and the brand didn’t last long.  They sort of revived the concept again in 2004 when they introduced the Twistables Slick Stick.  But the original Color Slicks had their own unique crayon wrappers with color names on them.  None of the colors had unique names from the main Crayola sets though.  The idea with this product was that it spread on really rich and easy; a good product for filling in large coloring areas or if you wanted a vibrant, thick color look.

Crayola Color Slicks - 16 colors.jpg

BS0118      Start Date: 1998  End Date: 1999  Country:  USA

Rareness:  4      Est. Value (Mint):  $8    Crayons:  16   Colors:  16

What makes this unique:

This is the smaller size version of the two containers they produced.  These were done during the “rainbow underline” design days where the Crayola name has a rainbow underline below it.  The Color Slicks logo is filled in with red and only the “Color” text is colored.  The only difference from the 24 size is they used purple on the “16” on the hanger whereas they used blue on the “24”
